Forest School
In September 2015 we were successful in a bid to receive lottery funding to develop our Forest School, enabling the purchase of further all-weather clothing and boots for the children and staff.
The Outdoors Project ran a weekly session from October 2015 until July 2016 during which time the children and staff could participate and develop their skills. In December 2016 we were awarded £10,000 from Tesco Bags for life to further develop our forest school area.
We continue to develop the area, tending the meadow turf and planting a vegetable and herb garden for the children each year.
We use the forest school area in all weathers, providing suitable clothing for all children so the weather is never a problem. The children access forest school as either Caterpillars
(two year olds) or butterflies ( three and four year olds). Thus allowing appropriate activities and problem solving to be provided for all children.
